Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

CNC Machine Operator

with a strong background in

joinery or woodworking production

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC routers, nesting machines, and other automated woodworking equipment to produce high-quality joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery (routers, nesting machines, etc.) for joinery and wood-based panel production. Interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and cutting lists to ensure accurate machining. Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and material setup. Monitor machining processes to maintain precision, quality, and production efficiency. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve machine or program issues as they arise. Work closely with designers, cabinetmakers, and other production staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. Maintain accurate records of production, materials, and maintenance activities. Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the workshop.

Requirements:

Minimum

5 years of proven experience

operating CNC machinery in a

joinery or woodworking environment

. Strong knowledge of woodworking materials such as MDF, plywood, veneers, and solid timber. Proficiency in

CNC programming software

. Ability to read and interpret

technical drawings and CAD files

. Solid understanding of machining tolerances, feed speeds, and tooling. Attention to detail, precision, and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in

custom joinery, cabinetry, or furniture manufacturing

. Familiarity with

AutoCAD or similar CAD software

. Certification or vocational training in CNC machining or woodworking is a plus. immediate joiners
