Job Title: Cluster General Manager

Location: United Arab Emirates

I am currently supporting one of the leading Asset Management & Real Estate developers in the UAE.

We are now looking for a Cluster General Manager to oversee two of their independent venues in Abu Dhabi, and ideally you\'ll come from a luxury background.

In short, you will be responsible for directing and evaluating the day-to-day operational activities of the venues, to achieve the highest standards in accordance with the resort\xe2\x80\x99s operational goals and profitability objectives which includes guest and colleague satisfaction, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation and delivering a fair return on investment.

Regional experience isn\'t mandatory, but it\'s certainly preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall management and performance of the resorts.
  • Responsible for the preparation and approval of budgets, strategies, plans and setting targets for the resort and the successful delivery according to the business plan.
  • Review and analyze expenditure, financial and operation reports, to identify and determine areas to improve profitability, productivity and/or guest satisfaction.
  • Meet regularly with department heads to keep informed, offer direction, plan, and coordinate.
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce work priorities, procedures, and administrative standards.
  • Provide leadership to the department heads in carrying out job responsibilities and meeting performance goals.
  • Provide a proactive role in meeting and maintaining guest relations.
  • Work closely with the various departments in the planning, scheduling, and execution of events, maintaining communication with other necessary departments at all times regarding resort activities.
  • Be responsible for driving all the KPIs of the Resorts including but not limited to audits, colleague engagement survey and followed by having SMART action plans.
  • Be the face of the Resorts in meeting and greeting guests as and when required.
  • Create, implement, and direct seasonally appropriate activities, special events, and programs using themed concepts for Guests and members.
  • Reviewing financial reports to determine if costs are within budget and profit margins are adequate.
  • Ensuring that the resort is in compliance with local laws, state regulations, and federal requirements.
  • Direct investigations into causes of customer complaints and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Be responsible for evacuation (in cases of emergency) or incidences, acting as first point of contact for the team, guests, and the emergency services.
  • Allocate funds to departments and approve expenditures based on budgetary guidelines.
  • Recommend capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment to increase efficiency and services.
  • Approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within limits of the budget.
  • Chair the weekly management team meeting and other meetings as agreed.
  • Act as representative before government commissions or regulatory bodies during the review of policies or procedures.
  • Keeps higher management apprised of progress toward accomplishment of budgeted objectives.
