Job Description

Synopsis:

The Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, that are highly secure, resilient, fault-tolerant, and compliant for different business units within Etihad. The Cloud Solutions Architect will collaborate with different stakeholders, leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge cloud solutions, provide technical expertise and architectural guidance to ensure alignment with business objectives, Etihad well architected principles and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

* Develop cloud architecture blueprints, including high-level and detailed designs that are secure, cost-efficient, scalable & reliable. * Design and implement public/private cloud-based architectures that span cloud infrastructure, platforms & services to support the requirements of various business units within Etihad. * Implement cloud cost management & governance frameworks, processes, guardrails that are aligned with Etihad well architected principles & industry best practices. * Develop proof-of-concepts, provide hands-on expertise to develop Cloud native solutions to engineering teams, accelerate DevSecOps, IaC, Cloud Observability, automations adoption

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree in a technology discipline * 10+ years' experience in Cloud technologies and cloud operating models * Azure/AWS/GCP Solution Architect Certified * Excellent written and verbal communications skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills on the cloud * Solid understanding of Cloud services including Compute, Databases, Storage, AI/ML, Analytics, Networking, Security, Multi-Cloud, Cloud services monitoring * Experienced in assessing existing infrastructure & applications, identifying migration/optimization opportunities, devising migration strategy & roadmaps * Cloud Cost Management/FinOps - Workload estimation, optimization, right sizing, reservations, cloud spend tracking, budgeting, forecasting * Well versed with Cloud Security - IAM, RBAC, Directories, data privacy, regulatory compliance, security standards on cloud * Experienced in microservices, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, Serverless, Functions
