Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with genetic disorders
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests to identify genetic disorders and risk factors
- Educate patients and their families on the genetic causes and potential treatments for their conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans for patients
- Provide ongoing care and follow-up to patients to monitor their conditions and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Conduct clinical research and participate in academic and scientific conferences to stay current with advancements in the field of genetics
- Act as a resource for other healthcare professionals, providing expertise and guidance on genetic disorders and treatments
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate findings and treatment plans effectively
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
- Board certification or eligibility in Clinical Genetics or Medical Genetics
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical genetics or related field
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing genetic testing results
- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients and their families on complex medical information
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
