We are currently seeking a Clinical Genetics Physician to join our dynamic and passionate team. As a Clinical Genetics Physician, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with genetic conditions. You will work closely with our team of experts to provide personalized care and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough genetic evaluations and assessments of patients, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical exams to identify potential genetic conditions
- Order and interpret genetic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with genetic conditions
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding the genetic condition, its inheritance patterns, and available treatment options
- Monitor and manage ongoing treatment plans for patients, including medication management and referrals to other specialists as needed
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in genetic testing and treatments, and incorporate new techniques and information into patient care
- Conduct research and participate in clinical trials related to genetics and genetic disorders
- Educate and train medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals on genetic disorders and their management
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Clinical Genetics from the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG)
- Valid state medical license and DEA certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical genetics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and personalized patient care
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and other software programs
