to oversee the cleanliness and hygiene standards across our beach and its supporting facilities, including restrooms, showers, changing rooms, and guest seating areas. The ideal candidate will lead a team of cleaners, ensure all cleaning procedures are followed, and maintain a high standard of presentation and sanitation in all public areas.
This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team in an outdoor beach environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision:
Lead and supervise the cleaning team to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to operational standards and schedules.
- Scheduling and Task Assignment:
Develop cleaning schedules and assign tasks to ensure consistent coverage of all facilities, especially during peak hours.
- Hygiene Standards:
Ensure that all areas, including bathrooms, showers, changing rooms, walkways, and seating areas are kept clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Inspection and Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of all cleaning areas to ensure high standards are maintained. Provide feedback and guidance to the team as needed.
- Supplies and Inventory:
Monitor cleaning supplies and materials. Request restocking in a timely manner and ensure all equipment is used and stored correctly.
- Waste Management:
Oversee the collection and disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with environmental and safety guidelines.
- Staff Training and Support:
Train new and existing team members on proper cleaning techniques, use of chemicals, and safety procedures. Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety protocols.
- Guest Interaction:
Assist with guest requests or complaints related to cleanliness in a polite and professional manner, ensuring quick resolution.
- Coordination with Management:
Report any maintenance issues, broken equipment, or safety hazards to the Maintenance Lead or Beach Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cleaning supervision, preferably in hospitality or outdoor facilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Able to speak and write in English
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a beach, resort, or similar outdoor hospitality environment
- Capable to communicate in English
- Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
Work Environment:
This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires physical activity and the ability to work in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential.
