Job Purpose:
Employee in this position will undertake responsibility in maintaining the physical assets of the property, any new construction / refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of brick, cement, stone, cladding panels, glass and plaster for buldings located at depot, Vidauct structures, internal roads, pavements, fences, barriers or other station structures under the direction of Snr.Civil Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests /work orders as assigned.
xc2xb7 Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications.
xc2xb7 Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
xc2xb7 Inspect Depot & station building and other structures to determine functional system and detect malfunction and needed repair making notes and recommendation using inspection check sheet and job task.
xc2xb7 Assist Engineer in preparing technical reports and site inspection reports.
xc2xb7 Prepare and complete the "Planned Preventative Maintenance" for Station / Deport structures including housekeeping.
xc2xb7 Set-up and calibrate all equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports.
xc2xb7 Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
xc2xb7 Assist in monitoring & supervising all civil works being performed by outside contractors.
xc2xb7 Responsible for 24 hours emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
xc2xb7 Carry cell phones as required for on-call maintenance.
xc2xb7 Monitor and maintain all depot building system, infrastructures-Roads, pavement, sidewalks, viaduct, track drainage, fences, barriers and station structures as assigned.
xc2xb7 Responsible for alerting the Snr. Civil Engineer of any unusual occurrence and / or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
xc2xb7 Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable local codes, regulations, and requirements.
xc2xb7 Maintain a professional courteous manner with all Dubai Tram Staffs, vendor, contractors, and fellow employees.
xc2xb7 Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Skills Required:
xc2xb7 Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
xc2xb7 A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, and follow-thru.
xc2xb7 Knowledge of the standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials of masonry, plastering, carpentry, excavation and backfilling.
xc2xb7 Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the trade.
xc2xb7 Ability to read, writes, speaks, and understands English fluently.
xc2xb7 Ability to determine the quality of materials used.
xc2xb7 Ability to rig and work from scaffolds.
xc2xb7 Experience in using and following up operations with CAFM system.
xc2xb7 Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel is required for reporting.
xc2xb7 Knowledge of the local supplier market.
Qualifications:
xc2xb7 High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Other Requirements:
xc2xb7 Five years of experience in the working in Facilities management Company similar postion.
xc2xb7 Fluent Written and spoken English.
