You will be responsible for decision making ability, leadership skills and facilitate resolving site construction issues. Your responsibilities
  • 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as Civil Project Engineer in primary substations.
  • Should be Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Civil engineering.
  • Team player with good written and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Transco specification and UAE standards.
  • Familiar with local rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Computer literate with Auto CAD, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Preferable experience in Transco Substations & DRPC projects.

  • Maintaining safe and clean site working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, site issues, and strong site management, and communication skills with project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all site operations, safety and legal requirements are met and performing quality control and assurance tasks on daily basis.
  • Preforming and maintaining site inspections and documentations as per project management plan, site operating procedures, Quality plan, project specification and safety plan.
  • Reviewing / verifying the civil and building services design documents are aligned with other disciplines before issuance to subcontractors.
  • Reviewing and approving method statements and risk assessments for site work activities submitted by subcontractors.
  • Undertaking the site supervision, inspections to ensure compliance and provide field and construction guidance to subcontractors.
  • Monitoring scope and assist in the preparation of change documents and analyze interdisciplinary impacts.
  • Cooperating and communicate with the project manager, civil manager, and other project team members to ensure project progresses in line with the scope of work and approved time schedule.
  • Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Ensuring the project execution is progressing in compliance with the contract specification and approved time schedule. Report any anticipated deviations with proposed corrective action.
  • Controlling project plan by reviewing design, specifications, scope of work, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
  • Studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
  • Preparing project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends with recommending actions.
  • Conducting meetings, reviews, prepare documentation and assist the project manager and civil manager in preparation of contractual communication to owner and subcontractors
  • Reviewing the material submittal and shop drawings in line with specifications / approved design before submitting to O/E for approval. Liaise with O/E for timely approval of material and shop drawings submittal.
  • Attending the Weekly Progress Meetings (Internal as well as with O/E) and assist in preparation of Minutes of Meetings.
  • Assisting with identification of out-of-scope tasks and preparation of change orders to O/E and/or subcontractors.
  • Assisting with design and schedule estimates for owner-directed change orders and subcontractors requested changes.
  • Monitoring and drafting progress for civil work on the assigned projects. Assess variations, Requests for Information (RFIs) and payment claims.
  • Attending and providing input to various safety, design, technical and risk meetings, workshops, and implementing corrective measures for identified distractions or issues.
  • Arranging Red-Marked drawings from site and As-Built drawings from designer/subcontractors.
