Roles and Responsibilties

Site Supervision & Inspection

Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure work is executed as per

IFC drawings

, specifications, method statements, and project quality standards. Conduct routine inspections for structural, architectural, and infrastructure works. Verify alignment, levels, dimensions, and quality before approving work. Ensure that works are executed only with

approved materials

and

approved shop drawings

. Notify the contractor of any non-compliance and issue NCRs/SORs when required.

2. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with

contractor

,

subcontractors

, MEP teams, and project management. Attend weekly site meetings and highlight progress, delays, concerns, and quality issues. Communicate observations clearly and professionally to ensure timely corrective actions. Coordinate with authorities for inspections, approvals, and compliance requirements.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

Review and approve

method statements

, ITPs, material submittals, and shop drawings. Ensure compliance with: Project specifications UAE & international standards (BS, ACI, ASTM, AASHTO) Authority guidelines Identify workmanship or material defects and ensure corrective actions.

4. Safety Monitoring (Consultant's Oversight Role)

Ensure contractor follows proper

HSE procedures

. Highlight safety violations immediately during site walks. Support the safety officer in maintaining a hazard-free environment.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily site reports, photographs, and inspection records. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Review contractor's progress submissions and confirm actual progress on site. Record delays, variations, and potential claims.

6. Technical Review & Support

Review structural and architectural drawings for discrepancies. Raise

RFIs

for any unclear or conflicting details. Provide technical guidance to ensure correct construction practices. Verify reinforcement, shuttering, concrete works, waterproofing, blockworks, finishing works, etc.

7. Inspection Requests (IRs) & Approvals

Review and approve contractor's

Inspection Requests (IRs)

. Perform joint inspections with contractor and record observations. Ensure that activities are approved before moving to the next stage.

8. Progress Monitoring

Verify actual progress vs project schedule. Highlight delays, slow productivity, or out-of-sequence works. Advise corrective measures to achieve project timelines.

9. Authority Coordination

Familiarity with: DM (Dubai Municipality) Trakhees DDA DEWA RTA Civil Defense Support in arranging site inspections and ensuring compliance before approvals.

10. Final Handover & Close-Out

Participate in snagging and de-snagging activities. Ensure all works are completed as per the approved specifications. Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test certificates, and final documentation. Assist in final handing over to the client.

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
