DESIGNATION

CIVIL QUANTITY SURVEYOR

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field

EXPERIENCE 6 to 10 years' civil and building quantity survey experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with demonstrated track Record of successful construction bids. Should have In-depth technical knowledge of project execution methodology.


Proven working experience in Quantity Surveying Previous experience in preparation of Bill of quantities, Quantity calculations Estimate the quantity and costs of materials, labor, and construction equipment


Conduct site visits to ensure construction complies with the initial specifications and industry standards


Have knowledge of construction techniques on particular projects


Be knowledgeable of construction techniques on particular projects Have detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes


Able to read and understand the drawings, specifications and method statements for civil and building related works Must be familiar with estimation/ productivity norms for civil and building works.


Should have experience in estimating Maintenance / Turnaround / Shutdown/ Brown Field Modification / Construction Projects. Previous site experience in technical and supervisory capacities, preferably Gulf experience


Strong understanding of construction, construction materials and equipment is essential Commercial and Contractual knowledge Deep technical knowledge of project execution methodology.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


To support in bid preparation, carry out site survey, co-ordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, subcontracts and other discipline Engineers , sub-contractors and vendors, liaise with client. Attend bid clarification meetings.


Responsible to estimate, co-ordinate and complete the bid preparation process prior to the review of the same with the Head of Proposals.


The candidate should be able to interpret technical document, drawings, scope of work and estimate resources required to carry out civil and building works at project sites.


COMPUTING SKILL: Proficient in MS Office applications, Excel, Outlook etc. Conversant with Primavera and MS Project will be an added advantage.
