Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Civil Laboratory Technician

to join our civil engineering laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory and field tests on construction materials in compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory and field testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, etc Conduct tests in accordance with international, and local authority standards Prepare, handle, and cure concrete samples (cubes, cylinders, cores) Carry out soil tests including compaction, CBR, sieve analysis etc Maintain accurate test records, logbooks, and test result sheets Assist engineers in calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of laboratory equipment Ensure proper sample identification, storage, and disposal Follow laboratory safety procedures and quality control requirements Support site technicians during field testing when required Prepare, verify, and submit test reports, result sheets, and summaries in a timely manner Ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability of all laboratory records and reports

Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field Minimum

1-3 years

experience in a civil/material testing laboratory Good knowledge of standard testing procedures and lab equipment Familiarity with ISO 17025 and QA/QC procedures is an advantage Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically fit and willing to work in laboratory and site environments UAE driving license is an added advantage
