Job Summary



The Civil Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials, soils, and concrete in accordance with international standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, etc.). The technician will ensure that all test results are accurate, properly documented, and reported in a timely manner to support engineering and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials. Prepare and maintain test specimens and samples in compliance with relevant standards. Calibrate, operate, and maintain testing equipment and instruments. Record and report test data accurately using standard report formats. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental protocols in all lab and field operations. Assist in sampling and site investigations as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory facilities. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure timely delivery of test results.

Qualifications & Requirements



Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a civil/materials testing laboratory (preferred in UAE/GCC). Strong knowledge of ASTM, BS, and AASHTO testing standards. Experience with soil, concrete, and asphalt testing procedures. Good communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
