Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant technical certification. Minimum

7 years

of experience in civil works, with at least

3 years in substation or utility infrastructure projects

. Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques for substations (including GIS buildings, cable trenches, transformer foundations, etc.). Familiarity with DEWA / TRANSCO / ADDC / AADC standards (preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Good leadership skills with hands-on experience in managing site teams. Proficient in preparing site documentation and reporting. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all civil works at the substation construction site. Interpret construction drawings and ensure execution as per approved designs and project specifications. Coordinate daily activities with engineers, subcontractors, and site workers. Monitor productivity and ensure timely progress of civil works including excavation, foundation, formwork, concreting, masonry, and trenching. Ensure compliance with project timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards. Maintain accurate site records including daily progress reports, labor attendance, material consumption, and inspection checklists. Assist in planning material requirements and ensure optimal use of resources. Identify and resolve site issues and escalate major concerns to the Site Engineer or Construction Manager. Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of HSE compliance on-site. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers are informed of job hazards and safe practices.
