Review tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Develop
cost splits/breakdowns
for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overheads.
Prepare and analyze
Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
for tenders and contracts.
Collaborate with design, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost accuracy.
Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and tender requirements.
Assist in bid preparation and submission within deadlines.
Track and update cost databases for materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Provide post-tender clarifications and support during negotiations.
Support project managers in cost monitoring and reporting during execution.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering
(Master's preferred).
Proven experience (3-7 years) in
cost estimation, tendering, and project costing
within construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing.
Proficiency in
estimation software
(e.g., Candy, CCS, Primavera, AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel).
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with
FIDIC contracts, tendering procedures, and local regulations
is a plus.
