Job Description

We are urgently searching for a Civil Engineer specializing in roads and buildings. The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining infrastructure related to roads, highways, and buildings. The role requires both technical and managerial skills to ensure the successful delivery of projects, adhering to safety standards, quality control, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Design and Planning:



Prepare detailed

designs, drawings, and blueprints

for road and building projects using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Perform

feasibility studies

, and

site investigations

, and assess the environmental impact of projects. Collaborate with

architects

surveyors

, and

contractors

to develop cost-effective, practical solutions to design problems. Conduct

2. Construction Management:



Oversee the

construction process

for roads and buildings, ensuring materials and construction methods adhere to the

. Monitor and manage project progress to ensure

of materials (e.g., concrete, asphalt) and perform

tests

(e.g., soil testing, material strength tests) to ensure standards are met. Work closely with

3. Project Coordination:

for roads and building projects. Coordinate with

4. Maintenance and Safety:



Conduct regular

inspections

of roads, highways, and buildings to assess

or damage, ensuring safety and functionality. Design and implement

maintenance programs

for long-term asset management. Ensure that all safety protocols and

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)

regulations are followed on-site. Identify potential

hazards

and develop solutions to ensure worker and public safety during construction.

5. Technical Expertise:



Apply knowledge of

geotechnical engineering

,

structural analysis

,

transportation engineering

, and

materials science

to solve engineering challenges. Use specialized

software tools

for modelling, simulating, and analysing infrastructure projects. Ensure that the drainage systems, foundation, and load-bearing structures of buildings are up to standard. Develop and evaluate proposals for new technologies and materials that could improve the efficiency and sustainability of construction projects.

Professional Engineering License (PE)

3-5 years

of experience in
