Job Purpose:

The Main purpose for this position to plan, supervise, and execute asphalt works in road construction and maintenance projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage the execution of asphalt paving and road surfacing activities. Review project drawings, specifications, and ensure asphalt works comply with contractual and technical requirements. Coordinate with surveyors, material engineers, and site teams for subgrade preparation, base course, and asphalt laying sequences. Supervise daily site activities including paving, compaction, and quality testing of asphalt layers. Monitor usage and quality of asphalt materials (bitumen, aggregates, binder content) in coordination with the QA/QC team. Ensure compaction meets required density and thickness through field tests (core cutting, density tests, etc.). Liaise with plant personnel to ensure timely delivery and quality of asphalt mix. Coordinate with equipment operators, foremen, and subcontractors for efficient workflow. Prepare daily progress reports, site diaries, and assist in quantity tracking and billing. Ensure all works comply with safety standards and environmental regulations. Identify and resolve site issues related to asphalt works in coordination with the project team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in asphalt road works and pavement construction. Strong knowledge of road construction specifications and standards of Qatar Familiarity with asphalt paving equipment (pavers, rollers, milling machines, etc.). Experience in mix design review, layer testing, and asphalt QC procedures. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic project scheduling tools. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
