Seeking a skilled

Civil Draughtsman

with

contracting experience

to prepare, detail, and manage engineering drawings for civil / infrastructure / structural works. The ideal candidate will be able to convert design sketches into detailed shop/working drawings, coordinate with engineering & site teams, ensure compliance to standards, and deliver drawings on time.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed shop drawings, plan, section, elevation, detail, isometric, and as?built drawings for civil/infrastructure/structural works (roads, utilities, drainage, foundations, slabs, beams, columns etc.). Interpret design and construction sketches, CAD files, specifications, and engineer's instructions; convert these into precise drawings. Coordinate with design engineers, site engineers, architects, subcontractors and consultants to ensure drawing accuracy and integration (including MEP, structural, architectural where relevant). Review and revise drawings based on comments / feedback, site condition changes, approvals etc. Ensure all drawings comply with UAE codes, local authority regulations, project/client standards. Maintain drawing file management, version control, backups. Assist in quantity take?offs from drawings where needed. Support tender / technical submission documentation with required drawing packages. Participate in site walkdowns to capture as?built conditions or discrepancies.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or similar discipline.

5?8 years

' experience as a Civil Draughtsman in contracting environment, preferably in UAE or Gulf region. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD (2D)

; experience with

Civil 3D

,

Revit

,

Navisworks

or other BIM tools is a plus. Good knowledge of construction drawings, detailing, materials, civil/infrastructure works (roads, drainage, utilities etc.). Strong understanding of drafting standards, dimensional accuracy and materials specification. Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills, able to liaise with site and office teams. Good command of English (written & verbal).
