The Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed drawings for infrastructure and road projects, ensuring compliance with design standards, project specifications, and local authority requirements. The role involves working closely with engineers and project teams to produce CAD drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for consultancy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare
detailed civil engineering drawings
for infrastructure and road projects, including highways, drainage, utilities, and site development.
Draft
plans, profiles, cross-sections
, and construction details based on design calculations and sketches provided by engineers.
Ensure
drawings comply
with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal standards, and other relevant authority regulations.
Update and revise drawings based on
engineer or client feedback
.
Coordinate with
multi-disciplinary teams
(structural, MEP, landscaping) to ensure integrated design solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
Minimum
7 years of drafting experience
in infrastructure and road projects, preferably with a consultant in Qatar.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
(Civil 3D preferred) and other drafting software.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and coordination skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
