Position Overview

:

The Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and designs for roads, highways, utilities, and infrastructure works using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other drafting software. The role requires close coordination with the design and project engineering teams to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of project drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare 2D & 3D drawings for roads, highways, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and other infrastructure networks. Develop detailed cross-sections, profiles, grading, alignment, and earthworks using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Convert conceptual designs and engineers' sketches into accurate working drawings. Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and ensure proper document control of issued drawings. Coordinate with engineers and site teams to incorporate design changes, RFIs, and as-built updates. Prepare shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings as per project requirements. Ensure compliance with authorities' standards (e.g., ADM, RTA, Ashghal, etc.) and project specifications. Support design team with quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation when required. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of drawings before submission. Assist in clash detection, design reviews, and implementation of design modifications. Provide technical support to site teams regarding interpretation of drawings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering or Drafting. Minimum 4-7 years' experience as Civil Draftsman in roads and infrastructure projects (preferably in UAE/GCC). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (mandatory). Strong knowledge of road design elements, utility networks, profiles, cross-sections, grading, and alignments. Knowledge of local design standards, authorities' requirements, and drafting practices. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
