Civil / Cad Specialist Engineer

Key Responsibilities Operations & Maintenance Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of civil infrastructure, including walls, flooring, ceilings, doors, roofing, waterproofing, and external works. Supervise repairs and finishing works such as carpentry, masonry, painting, plastering, tiling, and concrete works. Ensure all hospital civil assets are maintained to regulatory and accreditation standards (DHA, MOH, JCI, NFPA, local authority). Respond to urgent maintenance requests and ensure minimum disruption to hospital operations. Projects & Renovations Manage minor civil projects, renovations, and modifications within hospital premises. Review design drawings, prepare BOQs, RFPs, and evaluate contractor technical submittals. Supervise site execution, ensuring compliance with specifications, contract documents, and hospital requirements. Ensure safe execution of civil works in critical areas such as ICU, OT, Isolation Rooms, and Emergency areas. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with hospital infection control policies during civil works. Implement safety standards and coordinate with HSE for work permits, risk assessments, and method statements. Maintain proper records of inspections, permits, and approvals. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with MEP, biomedical, BMS, and other departments to minimize downtime during works. Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for civil projects and materials. Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, and progress updates for management. Support facility audits, inspections, and accreditation compliance.

Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (mandatory); Diploma in Architecture or CAD specialization is a plus. 5 years' experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years in hospital or healthcare facilities management. Strong knowledge of hospital infrastructure requirements (structural, architectural, finishing works, infection control considerations). Familiarity with healthcare authority standards and codes (DHA, MOH, JCI, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local municipality/building codes). Experience in project management, contractor supervision, and site execution. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and CMMS/CAFM systems. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Experience in preparing and managing CAD drawings, as-built plans, and technical documentation. Strong knowledge of hospital infrastructure requirements (structural, architectural, finishing works, infection control considerations).

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
