to specialize in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various industrial and commercial chiller systems across Dubai. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in diagnostics, electrical controls, and mechanical components of large-scale cooling equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Inspection:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance (PPM) on all types of chillers, including
centrifugal, screw, reciprocating, and absorption units
.
Diagnostics & Repair:
Perform advanced troubleshooting to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults within the chiller plant, components, controls, and associated pump systems.
Overhaul & Replacement:
Execute major and minor repairs, including compressor overhauls, tube cleaning, chiller head removal, motor alignment, and part replacement.
Controls & Operation:
Test and calibrate chiller controls, sensors, and safety devices. Monitor performance data and adjust setpoints for optimal energy efficiency.
Refrigerant Management:
Safely handle, recover, reclaim, and charge various refrigerants in strict compliance with environmental regulations.
Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed logbooks, service reports, and documentation for all maintenance, repairs, and refrigerant consumption.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and system failures, ensuring quick and effective resolution to restore cooling services.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and local regulations, including those set by
DEWA
and
Dubai Municipality
.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Technical Diploma or Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum of
3-5 years
of dedicated, hands-on experience as a Chiller Technician or Chiller Mechanic. Experience working in the UAE is highly preferred.*
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of chiller cycles, controls, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and power distribution systems.
Proven ability to work on major chiller brands (e.g., Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin).
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
Competency in using specialized pressure gauges, vacuum pumps, multimeters, and leak detection equipment.
Certifications:
Refrigerant Handling/EPA Certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Other:
Strong communication skills in English.
Must be physically fit and able to work in industrial environments.
