to join a facilities maintenance team supporting a major healthcare project in Qatar. The role involves operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of chillers and chilled-water plant systems in accordance with strict safety and hospital protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, inspect, and maintain centrifugal, screw, or reciprocating chillers and related systems (pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, expansion vessels).
Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, bearing checks, alignment, valve servicing, filter cleaning, and refrigerant leak inspection.
Conduct start-up, shutdown, commissioning, and performance testing; record operating parameters and prepare service reports.
Diagnose faults using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools; carry out or escalate corrective repairs.
Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, and PPE compliance.
Coordinate with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical teams for integrated maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, job cards, and spare part usage records.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or technical certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical trade (minimum 3 years).
Minimum 3 years of recent experience in chiller or HVAC plant maintenance.
Hands-on experience with chillers, pumps, VFDs, and control systems.
Understanding of refrigerants, handling procedures, and relevant safety standards.
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and perform diagnostic testing.
Experience in hospital or commercial building maintenance is an advantage.
