Job Description

• To operate and monitor large tonnage centrifugal liquid chillers & equipment's at the DC plant.
• Follow all operational procedures in the plant to fully support continuity of operations.
• Execute the preventive maintenance tasks within the stipulated timeframe.
• Perform all the corrective maintenance job requests within the prescribed timeframe.
• Check and report troubles and unusual events at the DC plants in order to avoid any possible breakdowns.
• To be crew member on emergencies in the event of fire or flood and to perform the stipulated role assigned.
• Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Carry out in-house preventive and some breakdown maintenance of equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
• To assist and guide all the external contractors whenever required.
• To prepare and keep all the related logbooks and reports including the daily utilities & consumptions.
• To make sure that DC plant rooms are clean and tidy always.
• Perform chemical dosing as per the requirement.
• Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions.

Skills Required:

• Able to carry out the operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of centralized air conditioning units, including chillers and air handling units and all other associated components, controls, and electrical peripherals of HVAC system.
• Familiar with tools and equipment's of the trade such as manometer, manifold gauge, oxyacetylene outfit vacuum pump, testers, etc.
• Able to perform day to day activity in the plant.
• Able to perform routine maintenance and parts replacement.
• Able to install and test commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Able to understand and follow given instructions in English

Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
