JOB PURPOSE
  • Act as a focal point between the scientific community and client, by building a connection locally, regionally, and internationally with relevant stakeholders like academia, scientific institutions, governments, and research funding programs to achieve client R&D agenda.
  • Manage and oversee all research projects in client, internally and externally with academic partners.
  • Track all research initiatives as to objectives, timelines, budgets, participants, and data outcomes and keep current.
  • Track all scientific publications, presentations and external events associated with research, support development and delivery.
  • identify, evaluate, develop and support technology programs that offer long-term global competitive differentiation for client.
  • Delivers regular project update briefings to management on progress versus plan, and identifies technical or operational issues.
  • Develops and delivers a technology commercialization and deployment plan for each recommended technology, including intellectual property (IP) licensing opportunities.
  • Translating research knowledge into actional steps and materials to bring positive change.
  • Lead budget development, and budget justification narratives, and coordinated cost-share requirements for project proposals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assessments so that the same can be reviewed for possible improvement of the system.
  • Monitors all the improvement actions along for their effectiveness.
  • Participates in some functional improvement team\xe2\x80\x99s client as and when needed.
  • Any additional responsibilities as advised by the direct Line Manager or Head of Department.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience in research development, business development, proposal development, project management, research administration, or a closely related field.
  • Sufficient understanding and expertise across the technology lifecycle, TRL, including: R&D and IP strategy, engineering, scale-up, project development, economic evaluation, supply chain development, risk evaluation and mitigation, as well as strategy and business development.
  • Deep experience of developing business cases for new technology- based products or solutions.
  • Background in science and engineering.
