Chief Project Engineer

Job Description

Preparing the technical concept and feasibility studies for construction projects within the organization and coordinating with the direct supervisor for approval.


Coordinating with the direct supervisor in preparing and compiling tender documents in preparation for project bidding between consultants and contractors.


Participating in the committee for reviewing and analyzing bids and engineering designs, auditing bill of quantities and contractor price offers, and coordinating with the direct supervisor in preparing reports and submitting recommendations.


Following up with the consultant on the design of construction projects, preparing technical specifications, and attending design meetings.


Coordinating with the consultant in preparing documents for lump-sum work tenders, studying and analyzing price offers, and submitting recommendations.


Reviewing construction materials, execution drawings, subcontractors, and project schedules for approval.


Conducting site visits for ongoing projects, holding regular on-site and coordination meetings, ensuring adherence to approved schedules, inspecting work quality, and verifying compliance with approved technical specifications.


Applying value engineering standards and cost optimization while maintaining work quality and standard specifications in coordination with the direct supervisor.


Reviewing project payment installments and final payments, comparing them with approved bill of quantities and actual implementation on site, and preparing disbursement requests.


Reviewing and auditing financial and time-related claims for projects and submitting recommendations to the direct supervisor for approval.


Reviewing financial payments for palace projects and residents under guardianship, ensuring compliance with contract terms and executed quantities, approving according to established procedures, and following up on disbursement.


Following up on maintenance requests for palaces and residents under guardianship in accordance with the direct supervisor's instructions.


Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and government authorities regarding the completion of all administrative and technical matters related to assigned projects.


Participating in preparing cost studies for maintenance of institution-owned properties, palaces, and residents under guardianship.


Coordinating with relevant engineers in evaluating the performance of consultants and contractors according to their contractual obligations and submitting recommendations.


Participating in preparing project budgets.


Preparing project reports, as well as monthly and annual reports for the department's projects.


Participating in preliminary and final project acceptance committees and following up on maintenance works during the warranty period.


Performing any other tasks related to developmental and administrative matters within the organizational unit or as directed.

Qualifications




Master's degree requires 5 years of experience in the architecture engineering field. * Bachelor's degree requires 10 years of experience in architecture engineering.
