As a key strategic partner to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for streamlining daily operations, driving digital efficiency, and scaling fulfillment and customer experience across online channels. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, with a solid background in e-commerce, logistics, tech systems, and team management in a fast-paced, omnichannel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
Partner with the CEO in executing the company's growth strategy across digital platforms and operational functions.
Align e-commerce operations with commercial objectives to support customer growth and brand positioning.
E-Commerce & Fulfillment Operations:
Oversee and optimize end-to-end operations including order processing, inventory management, warehousing, last-mile delivery, customer service, and returns.
Implement tools and systems to streamline workflows, reduce turnaround times, and increase customer satisfaction.
Platform & Tech Optimization:
Work closely with IT and digital teams to ensure website/app performance, seamless integration with payment gateways, CRM, ERP, and aggregator platforms (Talabat, Deliveroo, etc.).
Advocate for tech-driven solutions that enhance automation, analytics, and personalization.
KPI & Performance Monitoring:
Develop and track key metrics for sales, logistics, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Identify bottlenecks, implement data-driven process improvements, and increase operational agility.
Team Leadership & Culture:
Build, lead, and mentor cross-functional teams in logistics, warehouse, customer service, and admin.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-first culture.
Vendor & Aggregator Management:
Oversee relationships with aggregators, third-party logistics, and delivery partners.
Negotiate and manage SLAs to ensure reliable service and efficiency across markets.
Financial & Budget Oversight:
Partner with the finance team to manage operational budgets, control costs, and maximize ROI without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in operational leadership, with at least 3-5 years in
e-commerce or digital retail
.
Proven track record managing large-scale operations in online commerce, fulfillment, or supply chain logistics.
Deep understanding of the UAE/GCC market, especially within consumer-facing industries.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Strong technical acumen and familiarity with ERP, WMS, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.
Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
