Oversee all engineering operations onboard the vessel, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Maintain and troubleshoot propulsion systems, with specific experience in
Volvo Penta D6-IPS650
considered a strong advantage.
Ensure compliance with STCW III/3 and Aramco offshore standards.
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain engine room logs, fuel consumption records, and maintenance schedules.
Liaise with the Captain and shore-based technical teams for operational coordination.
Ensure all safety and environmental protocols are strictly followed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid STCW III/3 Certificate of Competency.
Offshore certification as per Aramco requirements (e.g., HUET, BOSIET, H2S).
Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Engineer on small utility vessels or similar.
Hands-on experience with Volvo Penta D6-IPS650 propulsion systems is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of vessel systems, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
