Job Description

Main Purpose Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the engineering department and its activities to ensure optimal operational effectiveness and promote a safe environment across the resort. The Chief Engineer will actively participate in developing and coordinating preventive maintenance measures related to guest rooms, public areas, back of the house, mechanical equipment, and building systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will ensure that the resortaEUR(TM)s premises and building systems are maintained to high standards to preserve maximum value and extend the asset life of the property. Qualifications

Tertiary education or degree in Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent qualifications. Qualifications in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design are advantageous. Postgraduate qualifications are a definite advantage. Previous Experience

Minimum of 10 years in the hospitality industry at a senior managerial level in engineering. At least 5 years as Head of Engineering department. Minimum of 3 years as Chief Engineer in the UAE. Excellent command of process control techniques, maintenance procedures, and related technologies. Experience with regulatory and documentation requirements related to engineering codes and standards. Robust experience in hotel/resort/property preopening and project management. Other Requirements
