As
Cluster Chief Engineer
, you will be responsible for all aspects of repair and maintenance operations of the physical plant and engineering facilities across the hotel cluster. This includes managing all mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including heating, ventilation, and life safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
Advise the General Manager and the Corporate Engineering & Technical Services team on engineering issues.
Supervise and manage both internal maintenance staff and external contractors involved in civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
Liaise with contractors, prepare detailed specifications for engineering and building works, and inspect and sign off completed work in compliance with local regulations.
Oversee the maintenance and functionality of life safety systems and promptly report any major faults or defects.
Maintain updated administrative files, including drawings, technical specifications, maintenance manuals, and equipment documentation.
Recommend and implement energy conservation programs, monitor energy usage, and investigate sources of energy waste.
Maintain professional communication and coordination with relevant government authorities.
Ensure a well-groomed and presentable appearance at all times.
Education, Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various subsystems.
