Our client is seeking a Chief Engineer - Rail Planning and Transportation to initiate ideas and conducting studies to ensure the rail transit system is well integrated with the surrounding uses, best fits within the urban fabric, and fully satisfies the objectives of the Rail Agency.

Key Accountabilities:
\xe2\x96\xaa Ensures all Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental requirements pertaining to the project are in place and monitored as per the project management plan.
\xe2\x96\xaa Conduct feasibility studies for newly proposed rail lines or new technologies
\xe2\x96\xaa Review and evaluate the proposed transit station plans and their relations to the surrounding land uses and urban developments and identify necessary changes and adjustments.
\xe2\x96\xaa Prepares terms of reference for various newly initiated projects and studies related to Rail Planning & Development
\xe2\x96\xaa Studies reviews & recommendations on transportation policies, strategies, and plans.
\xe2\x96\xaa Conduct international benchmarking and studies related to different transportation planning issues in Dubai, and develop and present solutions as needed.
\xe2\x96\xaa Interprets and analyses environmental impact reports relating to transportation projects.
\xe2\x96\xaa Formulates long-range objectives relative to future land uses along the transit corridors and around transit stations.
\xe2\x96\xaa Ensures the compliance of project handover in accordance with the client\'s project management policies and processes.
\xe2\x96\xaa Initiates and manages/contributes to urban planning/ ridership studies/initiatives and Projects.
\xe2\x96\xaa Conducts field investigations, and compiles and analyzes data on demographic, economic, physical, and other factors affecting planning of transit corridors.
\xe2\x96\xaa Prepares and reviews cost-sharing analyses for rail projects related to Law No. 6.
\xe2\x96\xaa Coordinates with government planning authorities and other local agencies regarding land parcels designated or to be designated to Dubai Metro in terms of land use, zoning, and issuing site plans.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of working experience.
