Job Summary

The Chief Engineer will oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, HVAC operations, fire alarm & fire-fighting systems, and facility management activities across commercial, residential, and military projects. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex engineering projects while ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise engineering and maintenance teams. Manage mechanical assets, preventive maintenance schedules, and breakdown troubleshooting. Oversee MEP project execution, testing, commissioning, and handover. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment including chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems. Manage Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting systems, including routine inspections, AMC coordination, and emergency response readiness. Ensure compliance with Civil Defense standards and participate in fire drills, safety audits, and inspections. Supervise facility operations involving infrastructure, real estate, and landscaping. Monitor and control project budgets, resources, and timelines. Prepare technical reports, asset performance reviews, and documentation. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP, mechanical asset management, HVAC, or facility management. Strong knowledge in Fire Alarm (FAS) and Fire Fighting (FF) systems. Experience working with commercial, residential, and military facilities. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of safety standards and Civil Defense compliance. Excellent troubleshooting, decision-making, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CMMS / CAFM systems. Knowledge of infrastructure and real estate maintenance. Ability to manage multi-site operations.
