We are seeking a qualified and experienced

Chief Engineer

to join our offshore fleet operating in

Abu Dhabi

. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall management of the engine department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all onboard machinery and technical systems.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety standards in line with ADNOC and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assume full responsibility for the technical operations and maintenance of the vessel's engine room and all mechanical/electrical systems. Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance as per PMS (Planned Maintenance System). Supervise engine room crew and ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently. Maintain records, logbooks, and reports in accordance with Class, Flag State, and company procedures. Ensure compliance with ADNOC, ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct engine room drills and ensure emergency preparedness. Manage bunkering operations and monitor fuel/lubricant consumption. Liaise with the Master and shore-based technical teams regarding any technical issues or repairs. Maintain spare parts inventory and requisition supplies as needed.

Requirements:

Valid

STCW Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (CoC)

- III/2. Valid STCW training certificates (Advanced Firefighting, Medical First Aid, ERM, etc.). Minimum 24 months of experience as Chief Engineer on offshore or merchant vessels. Strong knowledge of diesel propulsion systems, generators, HVAC, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Familiar with PMS, engine monitoring systems, and Class/Flag survey requirements. Proficient in English (written and spoken). ADNOC approval or experience working in Abu Dhabi waters is preferred.
