A great opportunity exists for someone looking for the next step in their career. We are currently seeking to recruit the right individual to join our company in the capacity of Chief Accountant. The Chief Accountant will be responsible on overseeing the accounting function, developing the annual budget, monitor the budget and prepare monthly reports and present it to management. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead and organize the overall financial accounting activities of the company.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting documents and present them to management.
• Evaluate company risk criteria and work with the finance department to mitigate those risk
• Support management with costing approved annual business plans into detailed annual budgets
• Work with the projects department to rightfully price services and projects.
• Ensure adherence to internal and International compliance requirements.
• Address ad hoc business cases that need accounting focus.
• Communicate and lead interaction with external advisors and partners.
• Act as a business partner of the company regarding accounting matters.
• Establish and implement accounting procedures and documentation.

• Oversee areas negatively impacting budget, identify solutions and report them to management
• Managing bank accounts.

• Perform end of month activities and oversee in month end close.
• Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements for the Group.
• Lead in and liaise with the external audit team.
• Upload, review and reconcile invoices and credit notes with underlying reporting systems.
• Lead on the production of monthly finance reports and budget statements, detailing actual performance against plan, analysing, interpreting, and reporting any variances and proactively working to resolve any issues that need further investigation within agreed policies and procedures.

• Managing a high workload whilst remaining organised.
• Dealing with highly sensitive information with a sense of professionalism and privacy at all times.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting with a good GPA.
• Professional certifications are preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting
• A proven track history in accounting with relevant qualifications
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Team player who has the ability to delegate to ensure the job is completed
• Ability to work autonomously
