Today, Uniglobe is the leading importer, wholesaler, distributor and retailer of alcoholic beverages in the UAE. In addition to retail stores, we have a significant presence in Hospitality sector. As the Chief Accountant at Uniglobe, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. Responsibilities include: -Financial Management:
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure adequate liquidity to support the company\'s operations.
Review and approve financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
-Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to financial processes and reporting.
-Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning:
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Collaborate with other departments to develop and evaluate business plans, financial projections, and investment proposals.
-Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training and development needs for the accounting team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability within the accounting department.
Qualifications:
M.com/CA inter
At least 4 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Must be familiar with UAE VAT taxation laws and practices.
