Job Title: Chemist Location: Sharjah Experience: Min 6 Years Language: English Education: Bachelor's degree General Summary 1.Operates the water treatment plant equipment, Reverse Osmosis plant & related pretreatment equipment and demineralizers to assure consistent makeup water quality, makes frequent visual inspections in the plant and checks for abnormal conditions. 2. Sampling and monitoring the parameters of the makeup water, the frequency of routine demineralizer regeneration and takes action to ensure that maximum permissible limits are not exceeded. 3. Sampling and monitors condensate chemistry to assure consistent water quality and takes action to ensure that maximum permissible limits are not exceeded. Makes frequent visual inspection and checks for abnormal conditions. 4. coordination with the control room, ensures enough quantity of water is generated form the RO system at right quality. Carryout all the works like, preservation, CIP, effective pretreatment, etc., as per OEM recommendations, procedures and relevant standards. 5. Ensues that chemicals are dosed to the different water systems consistently to assure proper water quality. 6.Communicates with the Maintenance Department by means of a Work Request to ensure that all the plant equipment does not malfunctions due to water quality. 7. Sampling and monitoring of HRSG water chemistry to assure consistent water quality and takes action to ensure that maximum permissible limits are not exceeded. Makes frequent visual inspections and checks for abnormal conditions. 8. Sampling and monitoring of all cooling water systems chemistry to assure consistent water quality and takes action to ensure that maximum permissible limits are not exceeded. Makes frequent visual inspection and checks for abnormal conditions. 9. Ensures that cooling water chemicals are fed to the cooling water system consistently to assure proper water quality. 10. Conducts all required water sampling and tests in the plant.
