Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled Chemist - Quality Control with a specialization in Paints & Coatings to join our team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field, with a strong background in paint formulation and testing. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of chemical processes, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Develop and formulate paint and coating products according to customer and industry requirements Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure quality and performance standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to paint and coating formulations Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all formulation and testing activities Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in paint and coating technologies Provide technical support to customers, including addressing inquiries and resolving any product-related concerns Participate in the development and implementation of new product development projects Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations

Preferred Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field Minimum 3 years' experience in quality control of construction chemicals & surface coatings. Experience with quality control of raw materials in paint industry. Experience in building chemicals industry preferred.
Skills

Strong knowledge of chemical processes and materials used in paint and coating production Experience in using laboratory equipment and conducting various tests, such as viscosity, adhesion Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Proficiency in computer software and tools used for data analysis and formulation Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to chemical handling and storage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
