Element has an opportunity for a Chemist to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your professional career within a Global TIC business. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for assisting the Laboratory Manager in managing technical perspective of Chemistry operations

Responsibilities

Provide expert knowledge and support to the chemistry Department Operate, calibrate and oversee ICP / AAS operations Perform general inorganic chemistry testing,primarily with metal samples Train and mentor junior staff Apply and use international methods such as ASTM, BS and APHA etc. Apply lab quality management system through ISO 17025 standards and total quality management Skills / Qualifications

Graduation in Chemistry5 year experience as Food / water chemist within a commercial testing laboratory or equivalent 2 year experience in ICP / AAS analytical testing methods Familiarilty with all methods of wet analysis Familiarity with test data validation methods Ability to establish root cause analysis of incorrect data Experience in the analysis of water samples Teamwork and effective communication Self-starter; can work independently, proactively and on own initiative Ability to prioritise and manage a number of projects and/or work streams simultaneously #LI-SR1 Company Overview
