Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced

chemical engineer

to join our team in

Umm Al Quwain

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the

chemical manufacturing industry

, with

7-10 years of experience

in

UAE/GCC operations

. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep technical expertise, strong process optimization skills, and a solid understanding of plant operations, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and optimize chemical production processes to ensure maximum efficiency and quality Monitor and analyze plant performance, troubleshoot process issues, and implement continuous improvement strategies Lead new product development, scale-up, and process trials in coordination with R&D and QA teams Ensure adherence to UAE regulatory and environmental standards for chemical handling, emissions, and waste disposal Prepare technical reports, production documentation, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Work closely with maintenance and safety departments to uphold plant safety, reliability, and sustainability standards Provide technical support during plant audits, inspections, and certifications Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage raw material specifications and inventory Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff Stay updated with technological advancements in chemical engineering and manufacturing practices

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master's Degree is a plus) Minimum

7-10 years of hands-on experience

in

chemical manufacturing

within the

UAE/GCC

Proven experience in process design, scale-up, and operational optimization in a chemical plant environment Deep understanding of UAE environmental, safety, and quality standards (MOCCAE, Civil Defense, etc.) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills Proficient in engineering software tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, AutoCAD, MATLAB) and MS Office Suite Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards Experience with hazardous chemical handling, storage, and transportation regulations Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies Arabic language proficiency is a plus
