Position Summary:



We are seeking

skilled and passionate Commis Chefs

to join our kitchen team at

Restaurant, Dubai

. The ideal candidates will assist senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes within the

Salad, Grill, or Pan Sections

. This role requires consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to hygiene and food safety standards.

Salary:

AED

3,000 - 5,000

(based on experience and section skill level)

Key Responsibilities:General Responsibilities (All Sections):

Assist in daily food preparation under the supervision of senior chefs. Measure, prepare, and organize ingredients according to recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation at all times. Follow food handling and storage procedures in compliance with

HACCP

standards. Monitor portion control and minimize wastage. Assist with receiving and proper storage of kitchen supplies. Adhere to all kitchen hygiene and safety regulations. Participate in stock rotation (FIFO) and assist in daily inventory checks. Support plating and garnishing of dishes as per restaurant presentation standards. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Section-Specific Responsibilities:



1. Salad Section:



Prepare fresh salads, dressings, and cold appetizers as per menu requirements. Wash, cut, and store vegetables, greens, and fruits properly. Maintain freshness, color, and taste consistency of all cold items. Refill salad bars and mise-en-place during service. Ensure presentation standards for all cold dishes.

2. Grill Section:



Assist in grilling meats, seafood, and poultry to required standards. Maintain grill cleanliness and ensure equipment is preheated and sanitized. Monitor cooking times and maintain consistent doneness and presentation. Marinate, portion, and prepare proteins as instructed. Handle and store raw/cooked meats properly to prevent cross-contamination.

3. Pan Section:



Prepare hot dishes including sauces, pasta, sauteed, and stir-fried items. Ensure pans, burners, and utensils are ready before service. Control heat levels and cooking times for optimal food quality. Prepare mise-en-place such as sauces, stocks, and pre-cooked items. Follow plating standards for all hot dishes.

Qualifications & Skills:



1-2 years of experience in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant. Basic culinary education or equivalent professional experience. Knowledge of

food safety and hygiene practices

(HACCP preferred). Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning.

Quality and consistency of prepared food. Compliance with hygiene and safety standards. Efficiency in mise-en-place and station readiness. Teamwork, communication, and time management.
