We are looking for a Chef de Partie who will Organize kitchen operations and prepares and serves a range of dishes, whilst supervising junior members of the Kitchen Brigade. Gain understanding of the departmental goals and financial targets and support your outlet chef/ restaurant manager to achieve these targets
Recycle where-ever possible and enforce cost saving measures where appropriate
OUR PEOPLE
Participate in staff recruitment
Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintains a record of progress for each staff member
Provide input for performance review discussions in line with company guidelines
Ensure new staff complete their Orientation program on a timely basis
Assist with the preparation of efficient departmental work schedules
Coach and counsel staff in breach of hotel policies and departmental procedures, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
In the absence of your outlet chef, conduct effective staff briefings to communicate guest requirements and shift priorities.
Provides direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Commis I, Commis II, Commis III and Stewards
Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
GUEST EXPERIENCE
Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
Being attentive to guests.
Accurately and promptly fulfilling guest?s requests.
Anticipate guest?s needs.
Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guest experience.
Demonstrating a ?service? attitude.
Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
QUALIFICATION
Graduate calibre with a Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management.
Minimum of 3 years senior management experience in a large Food & Beverage department of a luxury deluxe hotel
In the absence of a manager, conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
Experience of managing restaurant environment preferred
High level of written and verbal Business English
