Chef de Partie (Station Chef)
Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef
Job Overview:
A Chef de Partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., saute, grill, pastry, sauces). They prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality for every plate that leaves their station.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to the Head Chef's recipes and standards.
  • Prepare and cook menu items in a timely manner during service.
  • Supervise and guide Commis Chefs within the section.
  • Ensure the station is set up for service and broken down correctly.
  • Monitor stock levels for the section and place orders as needed.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the work area.
  • Assist in developing new menu items and specials.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
  • Expert knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment for their specific section.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
