We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chargehand - Marine to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing marine operations, ensuring safety, and leading a team of marine professionals.
Supervise and coordinate daily marine operations and activities
Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and safety protocols
Manage and maintain marine equipment, vessels, and facilities
Lead and mentor a team of marine professionals, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively
Collaborate with other departments to optimize marine operations
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary improvements
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports
Participate in emergency response planning and execution when required
What do we need from you
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations, with a proven track record in a leadership role
High school diploma or equivalent; additional marine-related education is a plus
Valid STCW certification and other relevant marine certifications
Extensive knowledge of marine equipment operation and maintenance
Strong understanding of maritime regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Proven ability to make decisive decisions in high-pressure situations
Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in using marine-related software and technology
Physical ability to perform tasks in a marine environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
* Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
