About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand, you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. This position requires a strong leader with excellent technical skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

Lead and supervise a team of workers, assigning tasks and coordinating daily activities Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment Monitor work progress and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet project deadlines Collaborate with management to plan and organize work schedules and resource allocation Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members as needed Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, address concerns, and promote teamwork Perform quality checks on completed work and maintain accurate records Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs Train new team members on proper work procedures and safety protocols Assist in resolving any workplace conflicts or issues among team members Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements

What do we need from you

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus Proven leadership abilities and experience managing diverse teams Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the relevant industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities Efficient time management and organizational skills Basic maintenance skills relevant to the industry Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or work orders Computer literacy for reporting and documentation purposes Physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial Valid UAE work visa or eligibility to obtain one * Industry-specific certifications may be required (depending on the sector)
