The Chargehand is responsible for supervising and coordinating a group of workers on site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and instructions from the Site Engineer/Foreman.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities of assigned workers/trades on site
Allocate tasks and ensure work is completed as per approved drawings and schedules
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials
Monitor workmanship quality and report any issues to the Foreman/Site Engineer
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site HSE requirements
Assist in planning daily work activities and manpower requirements
Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and delays
Report progress, delays, and site issues on a daily basis
Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas
Guide and train workers to improve productivity and workmanship
