As the CFS Yard Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day activities within the CFS yard, focusing on the efficient use of space, equipment, and manpower. This role requires effective planning, coordination with multiple departments, and real-time monitoring of cargo operations, yard performance, and safety protocols. You will play a key part in supporting productivity, reducing dwell time, and ensuring compliance with logistics and customs regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate resources such as manpower and machinery for daily yard activities
• Estimate traffic loads and plan operations based on outstanding work reports
• Coordinate shift work schedules and ensure smooth transitions between shifts
• Monitor yard and shed utilization, stacking strategies, and cargo flow
• Track yard performance metrics: switcher turnaround time, moves-to-TEU ratio, and stuffing/unstuffing efficiency
• Liaise with foremen and drivers to maintain operational productivity and service levels
• Ensure accurate cargo weight handling and oversee cargo surveys and exceptional cases
• Coordinate with customs officials during inspections and manage special cargo procedures
• Supervise operations for hazardous, leaking, or overweight cargo following safety protocols
• Report operational status and equipment readiness to the Superintendent
• Maintain high safety standards and compliance with CFS operating procedures

Job Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in CFS or yard logistics operations
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Strong understanding of container freight, cargo handling, and resource scheduling
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple shifts, teams, and operational constraints
• Familiarity with yard metrics, cargo documentation, and safety protocols
