to ensure that all welding activities comply with approved procedures, international codes, and project specifications. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, monitoring welding operations, documentation, and coordination with project and QA/QC teams to maintain high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
visual inspection of welds
during fabrication, erection, and installation activities
Review and verify
WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification (WPQ)
documents
Ensure welding works comply with
ASME, AWS, API, ISO
, and client specifications
Monitor welding parameters, consumables, and equipment usage
Coordinate with
NDT teams
and review NDT reports
Identify welding defects and issue
NCRs
when required
Maintain daily inspection reports, weld logs, and quality records
Liaise with QA/QC Engineers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives
Ensure compliance with
HSE and quality procedures
at site and workshop
Support audits and inspections by clients or third-party agencies
Requirements & Qualifications
CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector (Mandatory)
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering
or related field
Minimum
5 years of experience
in welding inspection (Oil & Gas / Construction / Fabrication preferred)
Strong knowledge of
welding processes, weld defects, and inspection techniques
Familiarity with international standards:
ASME IX, B31.3, AWS D1.1, API
NDT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) is an added advantage
Good communication and reporting skills in English
Ability to work independently and under site conditions
