The Certified Rigger is responsible for safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment and materials on construction sites, specifically for piling and enabling works. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, proper rigging practices, and coordination with the site team for efficient operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Rigging and Lifting Operations:
Set up, inspect, and operate rigging equipment such as slings, hoists, chains, and cranes.
Safely lift, move, and position piling rigs, machinery, and heavy materials.
Ensure loads are secure, balanced, and rigged according to engineering specifications.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all site safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
Conduct pre-lift inspections and risk assessments for lifting operations.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Equipment Handling:
Assist in assembling, dismantling, and maintaining lifting and rigging equipment.
Ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly and kept in good working condition.
Coordination and Communication:
Work closely with crane operators, foremen, and site personnel to plan lifts.
Communicate effectively to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Quality Control:
Ensure all rigging activities comply with project specifications and standards.
Identify and report any equipment defects or operational hazards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain records of rigging inspections, lifting operations, and equipment usage.
Report daily progress and any incidents to the Deputy Foreman or Foreman.
Training and Mentorship:
Assist in training junior riggers or new site personnel on safe rigging practices.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
