Job Description

Company & Job Location: Muscat, Oman DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Determine customer requirements and propose suitable catering options, including snack buffets, breakfast menus, corporate meals, cocktail parties, birthday parties, weddings, and business lunches for companies.
  • Negotiate prices and meticulously prepare catering order forms to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Plan menus and oversee the smooth execution of venues, equipment, food, and service preparations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, while effectively scheduling employee shifts to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales staff, chefs, and specialized catering equipment providers.
  • Oversee seating arrangements, ensure the smooth serving of meals and beverages, and manage the efficient clearing of tables.
  • Monitor catering stock and supplies availability, taking proactive measures to order replenishments as needed.
  • Track catering expenses and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to all food and health industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance and food safety.
  • Stay updated on catering trends and proactively promote competitive catering services to attract and retain customers.
  • Market the business by attending trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations to showcase the catering services and establish business connections.
  • Utilize various communication channels, such as email, phone, WhatsApp, and social media, to develop and nurture relationships with clients.
  • Ensure the quality of service and adherence to policies and procedures within the catering department.
  • Follow established payment processes with customers in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in catering sales or event management, with a focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Prior experience in the Oman market is highly desirable.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and overseeing catering staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of best practices in catering management.
Required Skills
  • Demonstrates adaptability in changing environments.
  • Applies project management techniques and revenue management strategies to optimize catering operations.
  • Displays strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Actively participates in service innovation initiatives to enhance catering offerings and customer experiences

  • Ability to implement loss/risk prevention.
  • Proficiency in managing meetings, ensuring productive discussions and outcomes.
  • Exhibits the ability to solve problems and make decisions at a supervisory level.
  • Demonstrates exceptional ability to deliver catering services within budget and on time.
  • Ability to coordinate catering requirements with customers, chefs, and suppliers.rs.
  • Ability to apply industry knowledge to improve catering services.
