Company & Job Location: Muscat, Oman DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine customer requirements and propose suitable catering options, including snack buffets, breakfast menus, corporate meals, cocktail parties, birthday parties, weddings, and business lunches for companies.
Negotiate prices and meticulously prepare catering order forms to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Plan menus and oversee the smooth execution of venues, equipment, food, and service preparations to exceed customer expectations.
Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, while effectively scheduling employee shifts to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales staff, chefs, and specialized catering equipment providers.
Oversee seating arrangements, ensure the smooth serving of meals and beverages, and manage the efficient clearing of tables.
Monitor catering stock and supplies availability, taking proactive measures to order replenishments as needed.
Track catering expenses and maintain accurate records.
Adhere to all food and health industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance and food safety.
Stay updated on catering trends and proactively promote competitive catering services to attract and retain customers.
Market the business by attending trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations to showcase the catering services and establish business connections.
Utilize various communication channels, such as email, phone, WhatsApp, and social media, to develop and nurture relationships with clients.
Ensure the quality of service and adherence to policies and procedures within the catering department.
Follow established payment processes with customers in accordance with company policies.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
Bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in catering sales or event management, with a focus on achieving sales targets.
Prior experience in the Oman market is highly desirable.
Experience in hiring, training, and overseeing catering staff.
Advanced knowledge of best practices in catering management.
