Catering Coordinator - Administration ( UAE National ) Under general supervision of Hospitality Supervisor, a Catering Coordinator is responsible to assist with all catered events requests, including in-house catering events and off-site locations for faculty, staff and administrative clients in accordance with University\'s operational standards and policies.
  • Assist to coordinate all activities and logistics related to the University\'s catering requirements and functions in line with the hospitality policy approved by management.
  • Work as per approvals as necessary for regular operations, occasions or projects as required.
  • Assist to plan and coordinate all aspects of catering, including meeting with clients, service activities, sanitation, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Meet with requestors to coordinate event-specific details and special requests and develop plan to fulfill expectations
  • Work with management and staff to ensure cost effective pricing for assigned events
  • Assist in the finalization of menu items following department requests in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide and communicate a layout/diagram of catering events
  • Ensure deadlines are met for service and event schedules
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards, and ensure superior service during all on and offsite catered events.
  • Assist with weekly inventories, making adjustments as necessary to maintain accurate budget information and precise accounting of food and non-food items
  • Understand and excecise collective bargaining agreements while organizing catering requests
  • Assist with services requisitions for logistics activities of the catering function.
  • Maintain food, labor and supply cost within budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with cash and payment handling policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to the University\'s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
Qualifications

Associate Degree or higher diploma in F & B related field
