We are looking to hire a Category Specialist who will be providing support execution of strategic and operational sourcing initiatives and assist Category Manager across the strategic sourcing cycle for our client - a leading semi-government organization in Dubai, UAE. This position is 8 months contract role, renewable based on performance. The role sits within the Supply Management department and reports directly to the Senior Manager - Category Management. Key Responsibilities:
Contract length: 8 months Application Question(s):
- Assist the execution of strategic and operational sourcing processes, and approve commitment, based on authority delegated.
- Help in gathering and collating supply market information.
- Responsible for preparation of RFP documents and collate clarifications from suppliers.
- Execute sourcing strategies in close collaboration with the business stakeholders for the respective spend categories.
- Support the Category Managers for purchases and sourcing.
- Coordinate with suppliers based on the evaluations / negotiations for purchases and submit for approval.
- Assist in negotiating with suppliers and obtain approval of finalized contracts and purchase orders as per the approved delegation of authority.
- Set up contracts in Oracle.
- Support the development of multi-year category strategies and plans to achieve maximum lifecycle value from assigned spend categories.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management/Procurement/Related or similar.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier relations.
- CIPS qualification
- Strong experience fit-out projects.
- Experience in working with various levels of stakeholders.
- Experience working in a large, highly matrixed organization with high comfort managing complex and dynamic stakeholder structures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP system, preferably Oracle.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum of 30 days after accepting the offer.
